No Price Negotiations
Cordova, TN; September 11, in the
year of our Lord 2023 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the
industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is
continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and
media at large. It absolutely astounds me that some people are
not capable of reading or they are so arrogant that they feel
the rules do not apply to them. Our guidelines on our Advertise
page are pretty clear. There are no price negotiations. Would
you believe that almost every single weekday I get someone
wanting to low ball us for the hard work that makes them money?
It happens so often it is sickening. I am so sick and tired of
these greedy people trying to change the prices to something 75%
off or more. A few of them reference the corrupt and lying
website tracking places. Others just want more profit.
We had an interesting encounter a few years back. We worked with
this company on a paid news story. They wanted to pay less, and
kept saying their budget could only allow this low number. They
kept coming up and eventually paid our price. Six months later
the company that advertised through them came to us directly and
asked if the price was still six times the cost of what we
charged. This person made six times what we charged for the
story. They low balled us and price gouged their client. We
informed them no the price was much lower. They had gotten
messed over by this place. We had gotten messed over by that
place.
The bottom line is come to us directly. It will cost you less.
There are tons of these ad agencies. There are tons of marketing
agencies. They will price gouge you, and try to low ball us. We
don't accept it. My grandfather taught if you do not like a deal
walk away. We walk away from all of these places trying to
maximize their profits at our expense. Sure we might lose some
business here and there, but for what they offer it is not worth
our time to publish. If they want it bad enough they will accept
reality. They aren't making money off of the deal either when
they are so insulting by offering such low ball prices. Plus we
have a guideline about this. If they can't follow that
guidelines, where else will they break the rules?
