Take my ball and run away
Cordova, TN; July 10, in the year of our Lord 2023
-- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in
covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the
voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. I
noticed an interesting pattern from too many people in PR and
Marketing over the years. Whenever the people in PR and
Marketing hear news they do not like they want to take their
ball and run away. It baffles me that they behave in such a
strange manner. They seem to fail to comprehend the role we have
in gaming media. I also suspect it is an attempt to manipulate
us into giving them their way.
We had an incident recently where one of the angry haters in PR
and Marketing was throwing a tantrum because we did not plan on
doing anything with a digital download code for a video game we
did not ask for. We professionally pointed them to our Legal
page which is clear on our policy on companies that send us
copies of video games we did not ask for. The Legal page is also
clear on what happens when they check in on coverage that we
never promised to do. They act like we are always supposed to
work on whatever they send us. We are not their slave labor. How
dare they treat us so badly!
When this is all pointed out they respond with they are going to
take their ball and run away. If we refuse to be their slave
labor their response is to run away and shoot themselves in the
foot. They want to lose sales because we refuse to kiss their
feet and be their slaves. They actually think treating us like
slave labor and never paying for anything is treating us well.
How can they be that backwards? How can they think we should
work ourselves to the bone to make them profits that they never
share? When we point out they failed to sell on some game or
story they get psychotic, angry, and hateful. Do a better job of
reaching us. They obviously do not know us when they failed at
selling us on a story or game.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
God bless,
