Your NOT my Boss
Cordova, TN; July 3, in the year of our Lord 2023
-- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in
covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the
voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. This
absolutely hilarious incident happened recently. A person in PR
and Marketing asked if they could send us a product. We agreed
to allow them to send us something for a review. We sent them
our information and of course our legal page. A week later the
product arrived. The next day we put it together and wrote up a
review. The day after that they decided to "check in" on our
coverage. The product had been here for two days. The legal page
is clear on checking in on a review.
The two days are also over a weekend. The item arrived late on
Friday and they were checking early Sunday morning. This PR and
Marketing representative also asked about getting marketing
links in the review. We showed them the advertise page and let
them know the cost of the service they were asking for. They
said nothing. In the check in they told us to include the links
they were providing. If we did not then it would hurt them in
terms of sales. First off you are not my boss. You do not tell
me what to do. You ignored our legal page. You ignored our
advertising page. We do not work for you. We are not your
employees. You paid nothing for the review. Step back. Step off.
I am shocked that there are people in PR and Marketing that
expect us to do whatever they say so they can make more sales.
The review is ready to be published but it will sit for a few
days. The legal page is clear on the amount of days we promise
to have the review published online. This person chose to ignore
all of our culture, processes, rules, and requirements. They are
being very hateful and disrespectful. My job is not to make you
more sales unless you are advertising with us and you want me to
do a video or something for you. Then my goal is to help you
make more sales in that paid advertisement. When I review
something I give my opinions. If you don't like some of the
negatives that is too bad. We are not removing them because it
will hurt your bottom line. You did not pay for our hard work.
Wake up. Face reality. Stop treating us like slave labor
extensions of your companies.
