Galway, NY – November 4th, in the year of our Lord 2024
– Backyard Bocce VR LLC today is announcing the release
of their multiplayer VR bocce game, Backyard Bocce VR, will be
on December 2nd, 2024. After 2 years of solo development, the
social VR version of a 7,000 year old game will be released
globally through the Meta Quest store.
“I've played Bocce with my friends and family since we were very
young. While camping, at the beach, in our backyard, and pretty
much anywhere we could find enough room” Says solo developer
Matt LaCerais. “The hills and speed of the ball on different
surfaces just give endless possibilities for shot selection.
Combined with the satisfaction of knocking your opponent's ball
out of the way to land right next to the pauline for the win is
just so much fun.”
Backyard Bocce VR is a multiplayer virtual reality game where
you can play bocce solo or with your friends, against each other
or against the AI. With the freedom to play anywhere you choose
on each map you can play over rolling hills, across the beach,
inside ancient roman buildings or even through a haunted
graveyard. The exciting turn based competition makes for a great
backdrop for conversation with friends or family.

About Backyard Bocce VR LLC
Backyard Bocce VR LLC is based out of Galway, New York founded
by a long time game enthusiast and software developer Matthew
LaCerais. As a hobbyist Matt has created a number of prototypes
and small projects, falling in love with VR in 2020 and then
beginning work on this project a year later. This will be the
first commercially released project he has created and
represents over 2 years of work.
