Bass Defense Release Date

Family Friendly Gaming News

Burnham, UK –July 11, in the year of our Lord 2024– Indie game development studio WOMBEX Games has announced that Bass Defense, a rhythm-based tower defense game, will be released on August 19th on Steam, just in time for the Steam Rhythm Fest.

A free-to-play prologue titled Bass Defense: First Memorythms will be released on July 22 during the Tower Defense Week on Steam.

Bass Defense is a dynamic rhythm-based tower defense game that combines musical beat-based gameplay with strategic defense elements, featuring 20 unique levels with various challenges and visual styles, offering an action-packed experience with a hard mode that challenges even the most skilled rhythm players.

Players must defeat enemies by hitting the correct buttons in time with the music, with three difficulty modes—easy, medium, and hard—that increase the rhythm's speed, complexity, enemy attack patterns, and enemy speed.

The full game features nine power-ups that offer various advantages, adding strategic depth, along with 20 unique maps, rhythm-sensitive destructible objects, Easter eggs, and three game modes: Soundwave, Overcharge, and Fingerton.

The prologue features 5 of the 20 levels from the full game. In this reduced version, users can try the soundwave mode: Bass Defense's rhythm-based, action-packed game mode. Players fight against waves of enemies who try to destroy their base unless they save it with the help of upgradable power-ups or the force in their sense of rhythm.
