Follow your Dreams
Cordova, TN; April 22, in the year of our Lord 2024
-- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the
family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of
diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. One of the
things that so many people say that really irritates me is:
"follow your dreams." Have any of them tried to do that and
found out their dreams do not pay? Have they had to deal with
greedy, slimy, self-absorbed people in PR and Marketing that
financially enrich themselves and lie about not having budget to
do anything to pay for the work? Do not forget those slime balls
in PR and Marketing get wealthy from the hard work we do. Our
hard work makes them money. When it comes time to pay the piper
ninety-nine percent of them have no interest in doing the right
thing.
A lot of those forked tongue devils will tell us to follow our
dreams. Thing is when your dream does not pay, then what? What
do you do then? Go get some day job that you honestly could care
less about. It pays the bills and financially supports what you
really want to do. If you look at it mathematically it makes a
lot more sense. For every single success there are thousands of
failures. There are all kinds of small businesses that never
make it. Very few rise like Amazon, Microsoft or even Nintendo.
There are all kinds of people with dreams that are dashed,
destroyed, and ruined. Some of us scrape by year after year
counting down the days until we can retire from a day job and
devote full time to what we actually enjoy doing.
I have prayed for decades about my dream being made into a
reality. I continue to pray about it daily. I have talked to
numerous pastors, elders, and other church leaders. Not one has
ever done one little thing to help us achieve the mission God
set before us. Yet they want us to financially fund whatever
ideas they come up with. I have helped thousands of people. At
this point I am burned out and exhausted. I mentally and
financially am unable to help anymore. I get hundreds of
requests every single month to help this or help that. I do not
have the time. I do not have the money. I am also disillusioned
by helping so many others and rarely receiving help myself.
