GRANDIA HD Collection Releases
REDONDO BEACH, Calif. – March 26, in the year of our
Lord 2024 – Today, GungHo Online Entertainment America
released GRANDIA HD Collection, the remaster of the classic
role-playing series, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Whether
players are returning to these iconic games or playing for the
first time, the series’ dynamic attack-timing system, rewarding
magic and skill progression, and vibrant world offer dozens of
hours of heroic adventures. The GRANDIA HD Collection can be
downloaded from the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store for
$39.99 USD, and physical editions are available for pre-order
until April 14, 2024, in partnership with Limited Run Games for
$54.99 USD.
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of GRANDIA HD Collection
will be compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S,
respectively.
The GRANDIA HD Collection brings two genre-defining role-playing
games, GRANDIA and GRANDIA II, to modern audiences:
GRANDIA follows a young boy named Justin who dreams of becoming
a great adventurer and uncovers a grand secret within the
ancient Dom Ruins. Justin meets other adventurers who join him
throughout his journey, and together they discover what lies
beyond the End of the World.
GRANDIA II occurs eons after the battle of Good & Evil between
the
false
gods Granas and Valmar. The young mercenary Ryudo is tasked
with protecting the acolyte Elena, a job that turns into a
journey to protect the world from never-ending darkness.
The remastered collection improves upon the original games with
enhanced UI, sprite, and texture art details; visual
improvements to cinematic videos; widescreen support; Japanese
and English audio options; and language support for English,
French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (simplified and
traditional).
The GRANDIA series features innovative, real-time turn-based
action; dynamic, magical combat; striking worlds to explore; a
unique Skill Point system for earning extraordinary attacks;
memorable compositions from acclaimed Japanese composer Noriyuki
Iwadare; and more.
