Getting Caught Up
Cordova, TN; January 1, in the year of our Lord 2024
-- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the
family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of
diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. I absolutely
love marking things off my to do listings. For me there is a
feeling of accomplishment every single day to see all of these
items ticked off. It never gets old for me either. I have a list
of things that need to be done and I complete them as time and
financial resources allow. A good day for me is when I get
everything on my list knocked off.
The same goes for completing a video game. I have a mixture of
emotions when I get to the end credits of a video game. First
off I am happy and relieved I am done with it. I love being
completely caught up, and done with something. On the other hand
I am a bit sad because the game was comfortable to play. An
example would be Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp. I was so happy
to be done with that game. At the same time I was sad because I
enjoyed playing it so much. That mixture of emotions is always
interesting to deal with and work through.
We have implemented the visionary policy to purchase games
ourselves. This has been an earth shattering experience for us,
and shaken up the entire video game media industry. I do not
think I will ever get completely caught up with all of the games
awaiting my attention. Maybe if I can do Family Friendly Gaming
full time. Maybe if I get to retire from doing a day job. I
prioritize the game and decide what I want to play next. I
constantly consider what our audience is interested in watching
that also allows us to get paid for our hard work. I doubt I
will ever get completely caught up. Who knows maybe something
will change there.
Whether I get completely caught up in different areas of my life
or not ultimately does not matter. I walk the path God set
before me. It is narrow and there are plenty of hazards along
the way. I choose to faithfully obey. I celebrate each victory
and mourn each defeat. I take life one day at a time. I still
love any aspects of my life that get completely caught up. I
love moving onto new, interesting, and different things. I never
know whom I may meet along the way. I never know what challenge
may present itself next.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
God bless,
