Getting Rest
Cordova, TN; February 26, in the year of our Lord 2024
-- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the
family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of
diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. Do you know
where you fail? Do you know what areas you need to work on? Are
you aware of parts of your life that you need to improve? I know
exactly where I have issues and problems. I know exactly where I
need to improve. I know exactly where I fail. I know exactly
which areas of my life that need to be addressed. Sometimes the
problem can be addressing it. Especially when the problems I
have are so different than so many people around me.
I have real issues getting rest. My brain does not always let me
sleep. I am blessed with the ability to analyze things. The
problem for me is I am not capable of turning it off. Others can
sit around and watch TV for hours and do nothing. Others can
waste hours on social media sites like Facebook. I must complete
something of value. I must do something that helps others. If I
am watching a television show I am almost always going to review
it. So I make notes while I watch the show. If I am watching the
Super Bowl I am making notes on commercials to record FFG Reacts
videos for. If I have issues sleeping I am analyzing something
that happened during the day. I am trying to find solutions to
problems.
One of the problems for me is things do not get done unless I am
involved with them. Over and over again I see others just let
problems sit for months. I address it and resolve it. At times
this can be frustrating to have that feeling that it won't get
done unless I do it. This is one of the reasons I have issues
with resting. I see others let problems sit for months. I get
irritated and take control so it finally gets done. If I had the
money I would hire an assistant. Therein lies the rub - I don't
have the money for that. So it continues and others that should
step up - don't. Their priority is their own entertainment. My
priority is getting things done.
