Manic Mechanics Release Date

Dundee, Scotland. January 17, in the year of our Lord 2024 – Known for its console adaptations of Minecraft and various Bethesda Studios games, 4J Studios has this time set about designing its own racing car: available on Nintendo Switch since July 2023, Manic Mechanics will be released on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on March 7. Embark on a crazy ride that transcends the canons of the chaotic cooperative party game!

Since the game's release on Nintendo Switch, 4J Studios has relied on valuable feedback from its community to brighten up its beloved project with as many new features and content as possible. The happily messy co-op gameplay of the original proposal is complemented by a Versus mode, playable locally as well as online. In addition to this new competitive dimension, which is likely to put your friendships in jeopardy, this new version includes a new neighborhood and characters, as well as a bunch of surprises added to the most popular levels.

In Manic Mechanics, up to 4 people don their overalls to challenge the greatest mechanics on Octane Island. Loads of improbable challenges will put your communication, speed and coordination to the test: you'll have to get your hands dirty to prove that you're worthy of joining the prestigious mechanics' guild!

It's a real race against time that awaits you to repair as many vehicles as possible (truck, helicopter, tractor, submarine and even UFO...) in the time allotted. The faster you work, the more the chaos escalates: fuel spills, exploding tires, short-circuiting robots, cows going crazy, and even alien abductions will stand in your way, with consequences that are as unpredictable as they are hilarious!

"When Manic Mechanics came out on Switch, two questions kept coming up: 'Is it coming to other platforms?' and 'Can you add a competitive mode?' I am happy to now be able to answer 'Yes' to both of these questions! " says Chris van der Kuyl, Chairman of 4J Studios. "The new features the team has come up with have made this wonderful game even better, and I'm thrilled that it will soon be available to an even wider audience."

Manic Mechanics will be released on March 7, 2024 on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Steam. At the same time, the Switch version will be enhanced with new game modes and additional content, through a free update available on the same day.

Defeating these 30 levels, spread over six radically different districts, will not be a walk in the park. A wrench, trusted friends and maximum coordination and composure will be necessary to become an exceptional mechanic!
