Not My Department

-- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in
covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the
voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large.
There is one answer from people I get really tired of hearing.
There is one thing that people say that annoy me to no end. I am
honestly so sick and tired of hearing it. It shows such poor
customer service, concern about others, and care about your
fellow human beings. Do you think you know what I am talking
about? Do you think you know what this will be? It is:
"Not my department."
"Not my job."
Either of those statements annoy me to no end. I have heard it
at day jobs my entire life. I am so sick of the lazy people that
cannot be bothered to be helpful. It might be something you have
no way of doing. Guess what? You can still be helpful. For
example I have people ask me to do things I am not authorized to
do. I try a few things to get more information and then give
them the information on who they can contact to help them
further. How hard is that? I am so sick and tired of these
people that want everyone to serve them and they never do
anything to help others. Stop being so selfish.
It really shocks me when someone in PR and Marketing makes this
kind of lame, hateful, nasty, and rude comment. How short sided
can they be? If we do not make money covering the products guess
what happens? We decide to no longer cover it, trust you, and
you miss out on reaching our close to ten million unique IP
addresses. Lets follow the course of this river and realize that
your client loses money which means you lose money. I guess they
are intelligent enough to realize this. Especially when they are
out there bragging about making millions of dollars and telling
us they have no budget or its not their department to ever do
anything that helps us continue to exist.
