Satan Comes like a Sidewinder

Someone once told me if you are not doing anything for God then
Satan has no interest in stopping you. Another person told me to
be aware, and wary because Satan will get tired of trying to you
to trip up with repeated failures. Instead Satan will try and
come at you from the side. This may mean someone close to you.
Or someone that you love. Also be careful that your children may
become targets if you are reaching too many people for Christ.
There is a reason many people know about the PK syndrome. Do you
know what the PK syndrome is? Maybe I should take a step back
and explain what PK stands for. It is Preacher Kids. Now do you
have some idea what the PK syndrome is? A lot of preacher kids
are known for being very disobedient and rebellious. Any idea
why that is? There is a lot of pressure to be live up to when
you are the child of a strong, and good Christian leader. Most
teens and young adults try and rebel in some way or another. So
it can be horrible to the preachers to deal with their own kids
openly serving Satan.
A related thought came to me recently. Maybe the whole PK
syndrome has a spiritual element to it. Maybe Satan goes after
the kids of these preachers because he knows that he cannot get
them to trip up. While the preacher is busy taking care of the
flock he does not notice Satan worming his way into the lives of
his own children. Since Satan is such a liar it is not like the
kids/teens/young adults will come running to mommy and daddy and
tell them what is happening. At least not until it is too late
for fruit of the sin to manifest itself. Satan is quite a
sidewinder snake.
There is hope. Plenty of people who live for the devil do turn
their lives around. There are thousands to millions of
rebellious people that openly admit to themselves that their
lifestyle choices do not bring them happiness. Instead they
repent and turn from their wicked ways. If you find yourself
with a problem of Satan going after your kids/teens/young adults
then you must pray for them. The Holy Spirit gets working on
their hearts and there are a ton of success stories.
