simulation games for personal computers, is pleased to announce
the launch of Total Extreme Wrestling IX, the brand-new 20th
anniversary version of the world's most influential wrestling
business simulation in history.
In the award-winning TEW series, you play the role of a
wrestling promoter. It is up to you to try and lead your chosen
company to the top of the industry, along the way dealing with
prima donna superstars, wars and alliances with other wrestling
companies, and the demands of TV corporations!
Featuring a whole host of brand-new features, including many
fan-favorite additions suggested by the player base, TEW IX is
the biggest and best game in the history of the series, taking
the TEW franchise to new heights. Amongst the over 200 additions
and changes are:
A brand-new angle system that allows the user to book virtually
anything they want, from mass brawls that involve the entire
roster to pre-taped comic skits.
Companies can now have booking teams and ‘inner circles’ of
trusted lieutenants that help make the backstage environment and
politics more vital and realistic than ever before.
The long-awaited switch to a real-world calendar system adds to
the realism of the game.
Celebrities and minis make their series debut.
Media scrums appear for the first time, seeing the player sit
down and field questions from the wrestling press. There are
over 270 unique questions!
More diversity than ever before, with overhauls to women’s
wrestling and a new gender ID system that allows better
simulation of the modern-day wrestling landscape.
An innovative new ‘geo tag’ system allows the game world to be
divided up to allow extreme levels of geographical detail.
The ever-popular CornellVerse, the fantasy game world that ships
with the game, moves forward and gets a brand-new look.
In addition to all the new changes, TEW IX retains all the
detail and flexibility that have become the hallmark of the
series. Supporting a myriad of different play styles, the user
can take a deep dive into the wrestling industry or simply book
shows that they enjoy – the power is entirely in your hands!
