Toxic Positivity
Family Friendly Gaming News
Cordova, TN; July 29, in the year of our Lord 2024
-- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the
family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of
diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. For a great
many years I have exposed the radical far left religious beliefs
being shoved down everyone's throats. For example there are
people that demand everyone be positive all the time. There are
good things and bad things that happen in our lives. It is not
healthy to only be positive about everything. The vicious
attacks on anyone who gets angry about anything is not
realistic. Plus it is a bit hypocritical of them to get angry at
someone else for getting angry. If you can get angry so can
others. I also love it when someone says: "Jesus was only about
love." I ask how would you feel is someone turned over your
table, and money? How would you feel if you were called a snake
or a dog?
I comprehend the thought process behind being positive in all
things. For example let us say your mother died. You are sad,
and grieving at the loss. If someone comes by and tells you to
be thankful for the time you had with her - how would you react?
Maybe someday you will get to that point. Maybe years later you
will be thankful for all your mother did for you. To immediately
reach that point is not realistic. I doubt you would want to
hear that. How would the person giving that advice react
themselves? This is a really key point. If you would not be
immediately positive about any loss then do not offer that
advice for others. Just listen to the grieving person. Give them
time and space. Offer to help if they will take it.
I have seen some people with toxic positivity and they create
all kinds of anger, pain, and suffering. It is better in some
situations to leave it alone. It can be better to keep thoughts
to yourself. I understand that some people can be a downer if
they are always negative. I know it can be exhausting to listen
to others constantly complain. I get it. I understand that. I
will apologize to someone that something bad happens to them,
and will sometimes ask if anything good happened recently. I try
to gently nudge them toward something happy if possible. Most
will be able to find something good in their lives.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
God bless,
