Family Friendly Gaming News

Cordova, TN; December 2, in the year of our Lord 2024 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. For years I have heard my fellow gamers talk about COD. Are you not sure what that three letter acyronym stands for? It is Call of Duty. I actually purchased a few of the COD games and as I had some time I messed around with them. I do not get it. I do not comprehend. I do not understand. What is it that you like about this franchise? I do not see it - at all. I will get into my reactions in just a little bit.

I probably need to give a little frame of reference here. I am way more into family friendly titles. I am into games that uplift, encourage, and make our lives better. I am not into zombie games. I am not into kill them all video games. In fact this topic has been covered again and again. I even wrote about it decades ago in my book Video Game Lies. There are too many kill all the zombie games in my opinion. I find them dull, and boring. That is what I found in most of the COD games I played. We are blowing away all these zombies. YAWN! You actually enjoy that boring and repetitive kind of gameplay?

I get it when someone tells me they finding grinding in a role playing video game to be boring. It makes perfect sense. Doing the same thing again and again to level up and get a little stronger just to do it again and again later in the game. I totally understand. At least in the RPG grinding you are getting stronger. What are you getting with the mindless grinding in COD? You do not get to carry more bullets, or do more damage with each shot. So it is grinding with no improvement. What is the point then? What do you get out of it? Are you comfortable doing the same thing again and again?

I do not get it. I see no reason why anyone obsesses over COD. Ya'll gotta explain it to me. I need someone to tell me what they see in this franchise. Are you drawn to the macabre and morbid? Do you obsess over death? Is Death Note your favorite anime and/or manga? What is it about COD that you are drawn to? I legitimately want COD fanboys to explain it to me.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
