AI Is Not Taking over Video Games Any Time Soon

Cordova, TN; March 17, in the year of our Lord 2025
-- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the
family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of
diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. There are
people that are freaking out about AI taking over this industry
and taking over that industry. First and foremost every single
AI I have interacted with has been horrible. The company wants
to improve their call center so annoying, aggravating, and
generally worthless AI is used to answer the calls. It can't
understand me. It can't figure out what I am asking about. It
				can't ever help me.

How about websites that are using AI to "help" customers? I get
extremely impatient with them when they are trying to keyword
match my questions to the wrong things. Oh you wanted to learn
about this? No. You wanted to learn about that? No. Maybe the
goal is to have us go away and they lose sales. Why would I say
that? That is the end result of what winds up happening. I go to
one of their competitors, ask my questions, and get the product.
I may even pay a little bit more to ensure I am not wasting my
time with AI that is not smart enough to actually assist me.

When it comes to video games I cannot see AI taking over anytime
soon. Every single video game developer is coming up with
interesting, unique, and fresh ideas on things. There are new
takes on genre. AI thus far can copy and emulate humans in some
things. I do not see any creativity coming out of AI. Look at
the different AI art that is out there. It is a wonderful copy
of existing artists and styles. It is not something innovative,
and new that will wow the world.

If you are stressing about AI and video games I would stop. I
remember being told the enemies in Destiny were the smartest AI
ever. That lasted about a game or two. I remember being told in
the 16-bit era of video games how great the AI was in these
enemies. I played the games and did not find the AI to be very
bright. To me it is just the latest buzz word to try and make
money. People are trying to get you to part with your money over
their buzz. By the way this buzz word was used before and it did
				not impress then either.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

				God bless,
