Battlestar Galactica Scattered Hopes Announced

Paris, 16 October in the year of our Lord 2025 - Publisher Dotemu and indie studio Alt Shift, in collaboration with Universal Products and Experiences, today unveiled a full video preview of the gameplay of Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes. This innovative, narrative-rich tactical roguelite pays homage to Battlestar Galactica's timeless themes of survival and adventure with a challenge that rewards your ability to adapt in the face of a relentless foe. Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes will be released on PC in early 2026.

Command your fleet and lead its escape from the end of the worlds colonized by humanity, known as the Twelve Colonies. Each run offers its share of unpredictable scenarios and forces you to juggle your meagre resources. In the midst of the infighting that plagues your camp, it's up to you to prioritize your crew, your equipment, or the meta-progression, which is crucial to hope for long-term improvement. It's also up to you to unmask the impostors that lurk in your ranks, not to mention the ongoing threat posed by the Cylons, the robots who are relentlessly fighting for the extinction of humanity.

Get a glimpse of the game's gameplay loop in this new trailer. Understand the full range of strategic options available to commanders, who are responsible for keeping their crews alive during and out of combat.

When the ruthless Cylons make contact with your forces, the battle begins. True to the franchise's values of perseverance in the face of an overwhelming enemy, Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes' skirmishes revolve around a simple but essential concept of survival: "resist until you can jump." Deploy the fighters from your hangars and direct them in real-time to disperse attacks from Cylon units, minimizing damage to your main craft. At the same time, your defensive capabilities must handle the most important threats. Resist until you can flee, to a new corner of the galaxy with potentially juicy rewards. You choose your next destination based on your most pressing needs.

Each run in Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes offers new lessons to learn to increase your chances of survival, while your tactical possibilities expand as squads, weapons, and traits are unlocked, in addition to meta upgrades that will benefit your future games. Make the right decisions to steer your fleet towards the least evil fate possible, direct your starfighters in fierce combat, and jump to new sectors before the Cylons turn your army into a space tin can. Now that humanity's last refuge in the Twelve Colonies is uninhabitable, your crew's last hopes lie in your tactical acumen and leadership. To save humanity, there is only one salvation: the Battlestar Galactica. So say we all.

Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes builds on the tactical and narrative know-how of Alt Shift, whose game Crying Suns has seduced more than a million people, as well as the studio's artistic mastery that perfectly pays homage to the striking universe of Battlestar Galactica.
