Bluma Launches Demo

Family Friendly Gaming News

Fairfax, Virginia, 12 February in the year of our Lord 2025 | A new face aims her bow at the Steam storefront! Bluma is a fantasy platformer coming soon to PC and Mac. Designed by indie developer Potaco Studio, Bluma lets players create their own platforms to explore the depths of mythical realms. Travel into the Crystal realm in the game’s demo, available now on Steam.

Adventure Awaits

The world's elemental realms have fallen apart, and a bright new hero is needed to save them! The magical greenhouse once contained portals for all Harmonians to travel through, but it has withered away. Bluma, an adventurous blue chinchilla, is needed to gather portal seeds throughout the realms and plant them in the magical greenhouse to reopen the portals. Journey through each elemental world, solve puzzles using your magical bow, assist the local wildlife, and restore the magical garden.

Unite The Realm

Bluma is a puzzle platforming adventure coming soon to PC and Mac. Play as Bluma in this fantasy adventure suited for casual players and puzzle pros alike! Begin your journey by receiving the Bloom Bow, a powerful talisman capable of connecting Harmonian flowers. Enter the first world and practice using your Bloom Bow: aim your bow to connect the wilted Harmonian flowers with a vine, creating platforms for Bluma to safely continue through the level. If you fall from a platform or miss a jump, Bluma will respawn at her last location. There are no enemies or timed encounters in these realms, creating an accessible experience for all players.

Physics-Based Platforming

There are four elemental realms to explore: Crystal, Wind, Bubble, and Volcano. In each realm, Bluma gains new abilities to use alongside the Bloom Bow, helping her solve environmental puzzles unique to that realm. Crystal balls can unlock doorways, opening up new pathways to portal seeds to plant in the magical greenhouse. Wind currents help Bluma reach new heights, and a glider keeps her steady in breezy realms. To redirect wind currents, connect flowers with vines that deflect wind in other directions. In the bubble world, Bluma can jump into bubbles or create vines with her bow to block their path. The volcano world grants Bluma a shield to keep her safe against the flames, and the Harmonian vines create fuses to blow open doorways. Seeds are collected at the end of each level, after which players will return to Bluma’s greenhouse for a bit of farming. Plant these seeds to grow different vegetables and unlock new cosmetics to customize Bluma’s appearance!
