But I Don't Get That Perk
Family Friendly Gaming News
Cordova, TN; February 17, in the year
of our Lord 2024 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the
industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is
continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and
media at large. One of the things I always do is I compare a
piece of logic to the person applying it. For example someone
said to me: "It's not fair that you get to work from home. I
don't get that perk." There are plenty of perks I do not get
either. Should everyone give up whatever unique perk they have
because its not fair to someone else? Can you think of some
examples of perks you do not get that others do?
In my lifetime I can think of numerous perks I got in certain
jobs that others did not. There was discounts at different
retail stores I worked. In my current job I don't get a discount
at different retailers but the employees of that store do. Is it
fair they get a discount and I don't? If they want to complain
about not getting the work from home perk. What about the
ability to buy something from the store? When I worked at a
store that sold used video games I could buy any game for
whatever the store paid for it. That is how I got Dragon Warrior
IV for one dollar.
When you work at many restaurants you get free food. I don't get
free food at my current day job. Is it fair they get free food?
After all its not fair I get the work from home perk and they
don't. I still get perks from being a veteran. Is it fair I get
all these different programs and non-veterans don't? If the goal
is actually fairness. I know certain companies have free day
care on site at their locations. Is that fair to those without
young children? I look at it like this - different jobs have
different perks. To complain that someone has a perk you don't
have is a waste of breath. I bet you get some perk the rest of
us do not get.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
God bless,
