December 31, in the year of our Lord 2024 --
Drabit Studio an indie game development studio, has announced
that the global demo of its upcoming top-down shooting action
game, Soulers, released on Steam on December 27, 2024. Soulers
gained attention among gamers after being selected as a finalist
and award winner in the WASD Indie Game Contest in October.
In Soulers, players take on the role of Machina, a protagonist
with the power to slow time. Alongside her team of Souler
companions awakened to the power of the soul, she fights to save
the world. The game's key feature, "Time Warp," allows players
to slow down time, evade enemy attacks, and execute powerful
counterattacks, delivering a thrilling combat experience.
Players can also create their unique strategies by combining
diverse weapons and distinct companion characters, offering
deeper tactical gameplay and enjoyment.
The demo version provides approximately 40 minutes of gameplay,
featuring four stages, a boss battle, three types of weapons,
seven companions, and a talent enhancement system, allowing
players to experience the core mechanics of Soulers. Drabit
Studio stated that the demo aims to showcase the game’s primary
content to gamers worldwide, with plans to improve the game's
overall quality based on valuable feedback.
The official release of Soulers is planned for the second half
of 2025. The full version will include a story mode offering
over 10 hours of gameplay, alongside endless Boss Raids and a
roguelike mode.
