WINDSWEPT Release Date

Family Friendly Gaming News

October 22, in the year of our Lord 2025 -- Charming, cute, and dastardly difficult, WINDSWEPT sees you taking control of 2 unlikely friends - Marbles the duck, and Checkers the turtle - as they try to make their way home after being swept away in a storm! A game inspired heavily by 90’s classic (and hard!) platformers such as Donkey Kong Country and Yoshi’s Island, Top Hat Studios, Inc., in association with developer WeatherFell, are pleased to announce WINDSWEPT will launch on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 (and 4), and Xbox Series X|S (and Xbox One) on November 11, 2025.

Channelling the spirit of 90’s classic content stuffed and skill based platformers, the game offers over 40 main levels - each with their own set of hidden collectibles, bonus challenges and quirky obstacles to overcome... or fall victim to. Featuring 5 different uniquely themed zones, distinct types of mechanics and challenges present themselves depending on the biome.

Players will need not only the skill, but smarts to figure out the best path forward - Marbles and Checkers each have a unique set of movement skills, and you’ll need to figure out the best combo/sequence to make it through WINDSWEPT’s various challenges! In addition, a variety of friendly critters are waiting to be befriended during the journey - ranging from a dolphin, to a licky-lizard - who our main heroes can team up with/ride, bringing new sets of abilities into the fold and creating even more ways to traverse stages.

But that’s not all. True to keeping to the charm of what made 90’s games so great, WINDSWEPT is also stuffed with optional content, collectibles, and mini-games that mix up the way to play. Look for the moon coins and hidden portals that dot WINDSWEPT’s levels in order to make discoveries of hidden treasures and unlockables, and when you’re feeling in the mood for something different - head on over to venerable moth’s Laamp’s Shade for some arcade games, and to inspect thing such as your collectible action figure inventory!
