SPORTS™ NHL® 27 worldwide on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S,
giving fans the chance to prepare for the coming 2026-27 NHL®
regular season with all-new levels of realism. NHL 27 brings all
32 arenas to life with authentic team atmospheres, presentation
that reflects each team’s identity, an overhauled broadcast
package and a new commentary duo featuring John Buccigross and
Darren Pang. Combined with the long requested social-first
competitive mode Connected Franchise and team playbooks driven
by real-world NHL EDGE™ data, NHL 27 gives fans an experience
engineered to bring every team to life.

soundscapes and community-requested changes, EA SPORTS NHL
27captures the strategy, energy and passion of hockey like never

Key highlights include:
Authentic Atmospheres: All 32 NHL arenas capture each team’s
energy, traditions and identity, from goal songs, chants and
signature details to dynamic lighting, jumbotrons and
presentation that reacts to every matchup.
NHL Team Playbooks: Every NHL team plays with true identity
through unique playbooks and tendencies, powered by NHL EDGE
data. Matchups feel distinct from puck drop to final horn, with
real NHL team strategies that players can study, equip and use
across modes.
Connected Franchise Mode: Players can create a league with
friends, manage a roster and compete head-to-head across a full
online season with up to 32 human-controlled teams, flexible
settings, schedules and commissioner tools.
A New Broadcast Experience: An overhauled broadcast package
gives every game a cleaner, more modern feel, with new graphics,
updated camera work and sharper on-screen storytelling before
puck drop, between whistles and during highlights.
New Commentary Team: A new commentary team featuring ESPN
play-by-play voice John Buccigross and NHL on TNT analyst Darren
Pang brings fresh perspective, energy and insight to every game.
Updated play-by-play and analysis better captures the speed and
emotion of hockey with improved flow and deeper breakdowns that
reflect what’s happening on the ice.
Hockey Ultimate Team™ (HUT): Players can build a roster with
deeper strategy through the introduction of authentic NHL
coaches and playbooks. Coaches add new layers to team-building
through unique line combination connections inspired by their
real coaching history.
