Action-Racer Pressure now available for PC
Karlsruhe, Germany, April 3rd, in the year of our Lord
2013 - TopWare Interactive and Chasing Carrots
announced today the release of the new arcade action racer
"Pressure" for retail PC across Europe and as a digital download
on TopWare Direct and Steam worldwide. Chasing Carrots’ debut is
a true labor of love, combining a fun arcade-style shooter with
fast paced racing in a colorful, comic style steam-punk world.
No one can dispute that water is a precious resource, but in the
world of "Pressure", it’s taken to a whole new level! All
technology in the world of "Pressure" operates literally on
pressure created from steam; from factories to vehicles, you
name it, steam runs it. Obviously, no water=no steam. So when
our hero, Morgan, attempts to take his morning swim in the
river, he is shocked and horrified to discover that it has
completely dried up! Morgan leaps into his buggy and roars into
town to get some answers.
Morgan quickly realizes that the culprit behind the nefarious
water theft is none other than the dreaded Count Soap, a slimy
businessman who steals towns’ water supplies and funnels it into
his “wellness spas”, effectively killing the town while lining
his own pockets. Luckily, Morgan isn’t the type of guy who’ll
sit back and watch his town crumble into dust without a fight.
Firing up his steam buggy, he embarks on an epic quest to
reclaim his town’s water supply, and kick the Count to the curb!
Morgan quickly realizes that the Count isn’t going down without
a fight, as he unleashes his evil henchmen to stop Morgan in his
tracks. From run of the mill thugs, to massive boss battles,
Morgan must blast his way through over 30 levels of intense
arcade racing, until he can confront the Count himself. The odds
are as stacked as they get, but luckily our young hero has
access to shops along the way, allowing him to upgrade his
armor, pick up special weapons, and even purchase new buggies on
his quest for hydro satisfaction.
As with previous games, TopWare interactive provides optional
steam activation. This means that "Pressure" can be played
either online via Steam, or offline without a Steam connection.
