Anuman - Notre-Dame finally available for all
Montreuil (France), January 23, in the year of our Lord
2013. French software publisher Anuman Interactive has
announced a new time management game for iOS is soon to be on
line – and released under the Microïds - Games for All label, of
course.
Did you know that when the cathedral Notre Dame of Paris was
built, Pope Alexander III laid the first stone in 1163 while the
King of France, Louis VII, looked on? That means that this year
the famous cathedral is celebrating its 850th birthday. So
Anuman Interactive is giving you gamers a chance to get some
culture by learning about and taking part in building the
magnificent Notre-Dame de Paris in a time management game.
As the building site foreman, you must meet objectives like
delivering the planks for the scaffolding and assembling hewn
stone for the cathedral’s chancel. You also have to manage your
resources (gold, silver, stone, wood, etc.) and hire a
construction team. And all that within a given timeline.
Each stage in the game takes you to a different part of Paris
and its environs – the Marsh, the Hills, the Suburbs, the City –
at a time when building was in full swing. Every mission
involves meeting one or more timed objectives with the help of
the Master Builder, who is always on hand to assist you if you
get stuck. At the end, you are given a score and gold, silver,
or bronze ranking according to the time you took, whether you
met your objectives, and what resources you gathered.
When you are on a mission, you must optimize and transform your
resources. To that end, you build production facilities e.g.
Banks that supply you with gold, Farms that provide you with
food, and Sawmills for transforming wood) and gather raw
materials. Felling trees in a forest, for example, gives you
wood. You can optimize your facilities throughout the game to be
more productive. From time to time, the Master Builder quizzes
you on the monument, which can help you win extra resources.
Of course, you must also make sure roads and tracks are clear –
by getting workers to repair damaged roads and destroy any
natural obstacles – so that materials are delivered smoothly to
the cathedral construction site.
You can create up to three game profiles, look up historical
facts about the building of Notre-Dame de Paris, and browse the
game’s kinematics in the Bonus menu.
After the Eiffel Tower, the Titanic, and the Statue of Liberty,
this new title further expands the "Monument Builders" series
which Anuman first launched in late 2011.
The "Monument Builders - Notre-Dame de Paris" has been on sale
since 23 January 2012 on the App Store in EFIGS (English,
French, Italian, German and Spanish) and on every sales
platforms on the Web.
