Microids to Distribute Nancy Drew Adventure Games in Europe

Montreuil (France). December 2, in the year of our Lord 2013. On Game Connection Europe, Microïds announces the agreement with Her Interactive, for the European distribution of adventure games based on the Nancy Drew character.

With millions of books sold, movies and TV series, Nancy Drew is one of the most beloved heroines among girls and women. She travels through many countries to solve mysteries with true ingenuity, courage and determination.

Her adventures have continued in video games for more than 15 years with 9 million copies sold all around the world. The game series received several awards such as the iParenting Media Award and the Children’s Software Revue.

The player becomes Nancy Drew joining her exciting investigations. Players solve puzzles and clear out many brain-twisters to overcome conspiracies, kidnappings and uncover the truth behind supernatural events.

Six new titles will be distributed in Europe next year by Microïds (The silent Spy, Ghost of Thornton Hall, The Deadly Device, Tomb of the Lost Queen, Alibi in Ashes and The Captive Curse).

Elliot Grassiano, VP of Microïds declares “Microïds has a long tradition of strong and intelligent female characters leading its adventure games. It feels so logical to see Nancy Drew join the clan of iconic heroines as Kate Walker (Syberia), Victoria McPherson (Still Life) or Mina (Return to Mysterious Island).”

Microïds catalog continues to grow in multiple directions to fulfill various audiences of adventure gamers.

All the "Nancy Drew" titles will be released on PC and Mac in 2014 in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
