Natsume Offers Pre-Orders for Hometown Story

“Ember the Dragon" Pre-Order Plushie Now Available at GameStop!

Burlingame, CA. - September 10, in the year of our Lord 2013 - Natsume Inc., a worldwide developer and publisher of family-oriented video games, has launched its pre-order campaign for its upcoming 3DS game, Hometown Story. A different kind of video game developed by the father of Harvest Moon, Hometown Story features the iconic baby dragon - Ember -- who only wants to be accepted by the townspeople. First introduced during E3, the cute and cuddly blue Ember was exclusive only to the trade show, but now he is taking on a bigger role as the official plushie for Hometown Story pre-orders at GameStop!

Players can receive the exclusive Emerald Green Ember plush when they pre-order Hometown Story from GameStop stores and GameStop.com. As supplies are limited, fans will want to make sure they pre-order early to guarantee they'll get their Emerald Green Ember plush from GameStop!

“We are excited to offer gamers a little something special for being among the first to pre-order the game through GameStop,” said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO at Natsume. “Hometown Story is a very exciting new game for us, and we know our players will be excited to get their hands on this exclusive new plush! October can’t come soon enough!”

Developed by Yasuhiro Wada, the "Father of Harvest Moon," and his studio TOYBOX in Tokyo, Hometown Story takes players to a new fantastic world filled with color and hope.

The recent passing of your grandmother and the shop you inherited has brought you back to your hometown. However, the shop has become run down, and no one wants to even window shop there anymore. Can you turn the shop around and even expand it, or is it destined to stay in the red forever?

You won't have to go it alone, though. You'll get help from a magical sprite name Pochica, who will help you get the store back up and running, and introduce you to all of the unique characters who reside in the town. The villagers will all change and grow throughout the game, and that person who you thought might be up to no good when you first met them just might have a heart of gold! You'll never know what to expect in Hometown Story!
