Nintendo Direct 06-11-2013
Cordova, TN; June 11, in the year of our Lord 2013
– Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the
family friendly video games is providing coverage of the
Nintendo Direct video. Right before the official start of the
Electronic Entertainment Expo 2013 (E3 2013) Nintendo presented
a Nintendo direct video. Very glitchy
Satoru Iwata starts us off, and he shows a giant conference room
where they will hold the shareholders meeting.
A trailer for Pokemon X and Pokemon Y is shown. They add the
fairy type of Pokemon. It is the eighteenth type, and strong
against dragon type. Pokemon Amie is added so you can play with
your Pokemon like virtual pets. October 12th is the world wide
release date.
Super Mario 3D World on Wii U looks good. Multiplayer is now
available with Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Princess Peach. Each have
unique skills that are better than the others. It will be
similar to Super Mario Bros 2 on the NES. A new cat suit has
been added. Cat Mario can climb up walls, and the flag at the
end of the level. It will be available in December.
New Mario Kart game – looking good on the Wii U. Hovercraft cars
and odd track angles are showcased in the video. The gliders,
and driving underwater both make a return as well. Plenty of
power sliding is shown. Driving upside down is allowed. Mario
Kart 8 will appear on the Wii U. Anti-gravity has been added to
the franchise. Online multiplayer modes will be the best for the
entire series. Expect this game in Spring 2014.
Wii Party U is being announced. Eighty different brand new mini
games. Some of the mini games will be played on the Wii U
Gamepad only. Originally it was supposed to be released this
summer. They want to take some more time. October is the new
release date.
Wii Fit U is also being delayed. December is the new release
date. He appreciates our patience.
He shows pictures of the drawings on the Wii U message boards.
They are working on Art Academy on the Wii U. Before the game is
released they will put new tools on the Wii U message boards.
Colored pencils are being added. Launch date and price of Art
Academy on Wii U will be announced in the future.
2013 3rd party trailer is shown. Plenty of over the top, and
ultra violent games. The Disney Infinity, Just Dance 2014,
Rayman Legends, Scribblenauts, Disney Planes, Skylanders Swap
Force, and back to violent games. Sonic Lost Planet is shown on
Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
He now wants to talk about digital downloads, and wanting to
increase that for Nintendo. Indie developers are coming up next.

The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker news is now coming up. A new
video of The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker on the Wii U.
Jumps over to a video of The Wonderful 101. Coming out on
September 15th.
New title time. A video for a new Donky Kong Country game. This
will appear on the Wii U. Vikings have taken over the Donkey
Kong island. He must adventure across other islands. The
graphics are now in HD. Two player simultaneous multiplayer is
provide. Dixie Kong is now playable. Donkey Long Country
Tropical Freeze will release in November.
A new trailer for Bayonetta 2. Looks like a game families will
avoid. He asks what we think. Pretty gross looking. A demo of
the game play is shown.
A video of a game from Monoloth. Mechs and dinosaurs at the same
time. Might be one to avoid, might be okay just barely.
One final game to show – Animal Crossing on the Wii U, then a
ton of different frachises. Another violent game in the form of
a Smash Bros game. Coming in 2014. Mega Man will be joining the
cast.
