Nintendo Direct 09-18-2013

Cordova, TN; September 18, in the year of our Lord 2013--Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is providing coverage of the Nintendo Direct on 09-18-2013. Nintendo is throwing these out at a higher frequency. They are also forgetting to notify the media of them. This Nintendo Direct is yet another example of notification after the video airs. Why are they hiding these?

This Nintendo Direct is highlighted by Wii Fit U. In fact the female trainer kicks us off. She takes us through an exercise. She then introduces Satoru Iwata. He comments on the changes to her - like less clothing, and tighter fitting clothing. He then explains the Fit Meter. It is smarter than a normal pedometer. It will measure elevation, altitude, and intensity of exercise. The Fit Meter will transmit data to the Wii Fit U game. That way the game can tell more about your activity outside the game. The tracking graph is shown, and explained.

If you do not burn enough calories in a day Wii Fit U will recommend certain activities so you can stay on track with your goals. Online functionality is going to be available. You can create online gym communities to encourage one another. Reggie Fils-aime is up next. He talks about the pricing - free for a month as a downloadable game. If you purchase a Fit Meter for $19.99 then you get the game for free. This is only available until January 31, 2014. Then it becomes a paid download game only. The file size of Wii Fit U is going to be massive. Nintendo recommends purchasing an external storage device.

On December 13, 2013 Wii Fit U will be available at retail stores. There will be two versions of the game. The first is the game with a Fit Meter, and the second is a Balance Board, the game, and a Fit Meter. Advertisement for the games website is up next.

Back to Mr Iwata. He talks about Wii Street U from Google Maps. They have another update to this software. Now you can use the Balance Board to walk around those locations in the world. The screen will simulate walking up and down. This update is now available. So now you do not need to go out to experience the world. Although it seems to spit in the face of exercising.

One more title to bring up. Wii Sports is referenced, and a video is shown. They are porting this Wii title to the Wii U, and calling it Wii Sports Club. It will use Motion Plus Wii controls, have an online mode, and be in HD. The online mode will include clubs. Play members of your club, or rival clubs. Wii Sports Club will be available for download on November 7, 2013 - at least Tennis and Bowling. There will be two purchase options. The first (Club Pass) is to buy each sport for $9.99, and the second is a Day Pass for $1.99 to play all available sports. That day pass is good for 24 hours only. There is also a free trial for 24 hours of all the available sports. He thanks us for sticking with them until their end.
