Nintendo Direct 10-01-2013

Cordova, TN; October 1, in the year of our Lord 2013--Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is providing coverage of the Nintendo Direct on 10-01-2013 video. Satoru Iwata welcome us. He wants to provide updates on upcoming Wii U and 3DS games. Wii U games are up first. Super Mario 3D World is the first game discussed. A video of the game is shown revolving around a transparent pipe. More of the game is shown as well as the Cat Suit. We can climb up the pole, split into multiple Marios (thanks to cherries), grab cannon blocks, and more. Tons of new features in this home console game. This game is looking great. Playing as Princess Peach, and Toad are also shown. Mr Iwata references some of the new features and suits. This game is for one family member or multiple family members. November 22nd is the official release date. Mario and Luigi Wii Remotes are shown and advertised.

Wii Party U is up next. House Party mode is referenced. Water Runners, Dance with Miis, and Button smasher mini games are shown. Plenty of mini games will be included. October 25th is the release date. A Wii U horizontal game pad stand is shown, and will come with the retail version of the game.

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is up next. A video is shown. They originally said it would release in December 2013. They are pushing it out to February 2014 to get everything right. We are thanked for our patience and understanding.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games Sochi 2014 is shown. Online events will be available. You can play against people all over the world. Four events are playable online. If you win you earn points for your home country. November 15th is the release date.

Speaking of Sonic they received a video showing Sonic the Hedgehog is coming back to Super Smash Bros on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. How will his speed impact this violent game?

He now brings up Pikmin 3. He talks about the depth of Mission Mode. New Mission Mode will be available as paid DLC. Additional levels will come in the future. Global rankings is now being referenced. A new software update to Pikmin 3 will allow you to see the worlds highest score for any mission. He wants you to compete to get the highest score possible. Download the update to the game, and then you can try one new free stage.

Damon Baker from the licensing department is up next. He goes fast and furious through multiple games. Etrian Odyssey Untold The Millennium Girl is shown in a video. The boxed mode is advertised. This 3DS game is available today – October first.

Just Dance 2014 is brought up next. A video is shown, as he references some of the musicians. The different modes are referenced like Stage, Party, and Just Sweat. October 8th it comes out.

Skylanders Swap Force is shown in a video. This game will come out on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. The swapping mechanic is referenced. The Nintendo 3DS version will have different characters from the home console. October 13th is the release date.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes is shown in a video. Locales are shown and referenced. The Wii U has off TV screen play. October 22nd this game is released.

Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate on the 3DS is shown, and referenced. It will have a different experience than the home console – but also connected. October 25th is when this questionable game is released.

Sonic Lost World is shown in a video. The Deadly Six Bonus Edition on the Wii U is advertised. The Nintendo 3DS version is also shown. It will have gadgets not on the Wii U version. October 29th is the release date.

Two anti family game are shown. Moving on.

Nintendo eShop is plugged. Indie games are referenced. Nintendo references a variety of indie games that are on the Wii U and 3DS. More will be coming soon. He thanks us.

Erik Peterson in the Treehouse is up next. He references The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker HD. He references a shirt for Animal Crossing New Leaf. He advertises the Nintendo Youtube channel. He quickly shows off the Nintendo 2DS - which comes out October 12th. The same time as the new Pokemon.

Nintendo Zones will now access the last six people as long as your 3DS or 2DS is in sleep mode. New items will be available for Animal Crossing New Leaf. Also for Kid Icarus Uprising, Super Mario 3D Land, and Mario Kart 7.

Bravely Default is referenced. A brand new trailer is shown. This old school RPG looks interesting. Sort of like the Final Fantasy remastered games on the Nintendo DS.

Back to Mr Iwata. The Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds is referenced. A screenshot was shown on the Wii U message board. In the past, an item found in a dungeon was used mainly in that dungeon to solve problems. They analyzed this this convention in this upcoming game. They allow you to rent items based on the dungeon you want to complete next. November 22, 2013 is the release date for this 3DS game.

Time for the last title. A Kirby game. A video is shown of this 3D looking title done in 2D. This Kirby 3DS game is planned for release in 2014. No name is given. He thanks us for sticking with them.
