Playstation Network Spring Fever
PlayStation®Network to Feature PlayStastion®3/PlayStation®Vita Cross-Buy Functionality for Upcoming Indie Tiles
April 8, in the year of our Lord 2013 -- Sony
Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) today announced the
game line-up for its annual Spring Fever PlayStation®Store
event, which highlights upcoming PlayStation®Network games,
including special deals for PlayStation®Plus members. Following
a strong showing of independent titles at this years Game
Developers Conference (GDC), the company will continue its
support of the indie scene by bringing standout titles releasing
in April to the forefront of the PlayStation Store promotion.
This years Spring Fever promotion on PlayStation Network will
feature three family friendly indie games for PlayStation®3
(PS3)/PlayStation®Vita (PS Vita) launching throughout the month
of April, including highly anticipated titles like Guacamelee!
and Thomas Was Alone, both of which were featured in SCEAs
PlayStation Indie Arcade event during GDC.
Gamers will also be able to take advantage of PlayStations
unique Cross-Buy functionality for all four titles, so they can
purchase a title on one platform (PS3 or PS Vita) and receive a
download voucher for the other platform at no additional cost.
PlayStation fans have been vocal about their desire to see more
independent games on PSN, and Spring Fever is the perfect
opportunity to show what makes PlayStation the premier
destination for new and unique experiences from talented
developers, said Adam Boyes, vice president, developer and
publisher relations, SCEA. We have made bringing independent
games to PSN easier than ever for developers, and part of that
support includes making it easier for gamers to discover the
best of the best titles.
The Spring Fever promotion will highlight the following games,
and PlayStation Plus members will receive at least a 20 percent
discount for each title during release week:
