Update News
Trainz 12 Service Pack 1 Available
June 20th, in the year of our Lord 2013
– N3V is proud to announce the release of Service Pack 1 for
Trainz Simulator 12.
For current fans and users of the franchise, you will be able to
update to SP1 through the in-game auto-update that will prompt
you that a new version of Trainz is available for download.
Improvements and New Features:
A new in-game downloadable content system allows for players to
expand their Trainz library with both payware and freeware
options ranging from highly detailed locomotives to new routes
and scenery, right from inside their game.
A new in-game navigation system allows for players to more
easily find their way when lost, with a HUD showing them the way
when they're close, or by appearing on their maps when they're
far away.
An expanded sound library now offers a more realistic
experience. Sounds come from every aspect of the environment,
not just from locomotives. With improved stereo playback, the
player will be fully immersed in the environment they're seeing.
Configurable control schemes now allow for players to bind
controls and tasks to their keyboards, mice, or other gaming
devices. This allows for players to create an experience unique
to themselves.
To stay up-to-date with real world trends, we've added A.W.S
(Advanced Warning System) features to the British ECML (East
Coast Main Line) route. This provides players with an even
greater experience, by offering them realistic game-play than
ever before.
By improving the coupling physics engine, we've now made the
connections between locomotives and rolling stock more realistic
than you'll find anywhere else. For true to life representation,
you can't pass Trainz 12: SP1.
