Rising Star Games and Coilworks join forces for new Steam PC release

Los Angeles - January 14, in the year of our Lord 2014 - Having recently inked a partnership with Swedish developer Coilworks, Rising Star Games is kicking off the New Year with an exciting new addition to its 2014 release roster: Cloudbuilt, a nerve-wracking, futuristic free-running game set for release on Steam for PC.

Cloudbuilt is a game of speed, precision and freedom. Quick wits and even quicker reflexes will become your closest friends as you carve your own path through the mysterious floating ruins high above the clouds. Use your rocket-powered exoskeleton and manipulate the laws of physics to avoid fatal hazards, dodge hostile robots and reach not just the finish line, but the top of the worldwide leaderboards too.

Cloudbuilt offers a thrilling free-running experience for gamers - packed with progressively challenging levels, as well as all manner of shortcuts and secrets to discover, its fast-paced competitive action will push the limits of gamers seeking a challenge time and time again.

Cloudbuilt's digital PC release includes the following features:

Over 20 levels with creative, alternate routes to each finish line
Four alternate endings
Branching level selection
Retro-inspired soundtrack
Organic learning curve; discover new skills you never knew you had

Prior to Rising Star Games' deal with Coilworks, Steam users voted in droves to have Cloudbuilt added to Valve's service via Steam Greenlight.

"Steam's Greenlight is a great indicator of what people want to play and Cloudbuilt breezed through this process due to its refreshing take on the platform genre," said Martin Defries, managing director & COO of Rising Star Games. "As a community-driven publisher we are delighted to release a title with such great feedback and we're confident that Cloudbuilt will further enhance our growing Steam library. The hardworking team at Coilworks have produced a fantastic game and we can't wait to see which routes players take for the fastest times."

"We were thrilled from the very start that Rising Star Games were so excited about Cloudbuilt, and their passion for the project is really motivating for the team here at Coilworks, making it very easy for us to work together," said Martin Löwgren, co-founder and CEO of Coilworks. "Making games is something we know how to do, but being a small indie start-up involves so much more than that, and we are super happy to have such a great opportunity to work with an experienced publisher like Rising Star Games."
