Microsoft and Nintendo Continue to Fail
Cordova, TN; October 14, in the year of our Lord 2014--Family
Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family
friendly video games is puzzled why Microsoft and Nintendo
continue to fail in 2014. Although it should come as no surprise
to connected gamers since Microsoft and Nintendo have both gone
out of their way to shoot themselves in the foot in 2014. The
anti-Nintendo sentiment has been propagated by mainstream gaming
journalists for some years now. The anti-Microsoft sentiment has
been more of a grass roots effort from hardcore gamers revolving
around the Xbox One. Microsoft has changed stances, and
apologized for some of their mistakes. Nintendo has pretended
like they have done nothing wrong.
The outcome of this is Sony is quietly dominating in the home
console market with the Playstation 4. Sony has not provided
many games for families, and have committed egregious acts of
their own like forcing everyone to share videos inside their
structure only (on the Playstation 4). Yet the Sony mistakes
have been kept quiet by the majority of mainstream gaming media
outlets. Sony’s mistakes have seemed smaller to many gamers.
Others want Sony in first place. Sony has done the cross
platform play between the PS3, PS4, and PS Vita. Not every game
is available for that feature. The ones that are, show the
direction of the future of gaming. There has also been less of a
complaint against Sony in terms of discriminating against
Christians.
Hardcore haters have been after Nintendo since they publish more
games safe for families than Sony and Microsoft combined. The
Wii U has been a flop on so many levels. Nintendo has not even
caught up to the Kinect on the Xbox 360. Let alone the Kinect
2.0 on the Xbox One. Even Sony has moved close to Kinect with
the Eye on the Playstation 4. Nintendo is presenting themselves
as obtuse. Then the whole Youtube scandal with Nintendo has hurt
them big time. They look greedy, self centered and self
absorbed. The big guy squashing the little guy. This is an area
Nintendo needs to correct and fast. Then they went on the attack
against traditional marriage that lost Nintendo all kinds of
support. Finally the long time accusation that Nintendo
discriminates against Christians has them on the ropes.
Microsoft has faced an uphill battle with the launch of the Xbox
One. Even though they should easily pass the Wii U within the
next six months, the sales of the Xbox One have been nowhere
close to the Playstation 4. Microsoft started good with decent
releases for families. They have since flopped around like a
fish. Microsoft offended all kinds of gamers with ideas like
charging to let people play used copies of games. They changed
that policy but the damage was already done. Their obsession
with the macabre and morbid games damaged them with families.
Then the Kinect 2.0 being forced into the console offended all
kinds of gamers. Finally they are also facing accusations that
they also discriminate against Christians.
