InnoGames Holds Charity Event for Gaming Aid Initiative
April 22, in the year of our Lord 2016.
InnoGames held its second charity fund raising event this past
weekend dedicated to the often overlooked art behind games. The
art exhibition, which took place on April 16th in the company's
Hamburg headquarters, included a silent auction, where the
public could bid on private art collections, as well as concepts
from InnoGames' own studios, and attend workshops lead by
InnoGames artists. All proceeds from the event will go to Gaming
Aid Initiative.
Around 330 games enthusiasts attended the exhibition. Workshops
included 'character development', 'spitpainting' and 'VFX'.
To further bring attention to the importance of art in the
gaming industry, InnoGames released a video titled: "How the
Mobile Revolution Changed Game Art". The four-minute piece
details how game artists adapt to modern day constraints.
With about 150 million registered players, InnoGames is one of
the world's leading developers and providers of online games.
Currently, the Hamburg-based company employs about 400
professionals from over 30 nations.
