Smashbox Arena debuts on PS VR

VANCOUVER, Canada – July 25, in the year of our Lord 2017 — Archiact and BigBox VR are proud to announce that the hit competitive, virtual arena team shooter Smashbox Arena™ is available today in North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan on PlayStation®VR.

Designed from the ground up for VR, and following great success on HTC Vive™ and Oculus Rift, Smashbox Arena is a high-octane hybrid of fast action dodgeball and the arcade-style mayhem of insane physics-driven power-ups. Dive for cover, dodge, deflect and volley enemy shots in stylish 360 degree environments. Retaliate with wicked power-up combos and perfectly-calculated teleports. Take out opponents in single player mode or by teaming up with humorous characters, friends or players from around the world in crushing 3 vs 3 team match-ups.

“A team deathmatch-style, extreme dodgeball game gets as competitive, and high-spirited as you’d imagine” said Eric Hine, executive producer at Archiact “Smashbox Arena shows how designing a VR game around competitive team play makes for an over-the-top entertaining experience with a surprisingly high skill ceiling and great re-playability. We’re thrilled to have partnered with the talented BigBox VR team to bring all this fun to PlayStation VR fans.”

Smashbox Arena is available to purchase today for $29.99 USD on the PlayStation Store.
