Monkey Barrels Gets Physical Edition

SANTA ANA, California, December 11, in the year of our Lord 2020 — Nicalis, Inc. today announced that Monkey Barrels, an action packed twin-stick shooter for Nintendo Switch, is now available in a physical edition. The package includes a full-color instruction manual and a reversible cover insert with alternate artwork.

Developed by the legendary Good-Feel, Monkey Barrels features colorful characters, fast-paced shooter action and a unique "3D pixel art" aesthetic that skillfully incorporates the best elements of both retro and modern games. The gameplay, graphics and sounds all represent a high level of quality and polish that can only be achieved by a team with decades of experience making fun video games, as Good-Feel has.

"I'm truly happy that the physical version of Monkey Barrels is now available for everyone," says Good-Feel President and CEO Etsunobu Ebisu, the game's producer. "We put all of our passion and personality into this game, and I hope the players enjoy it. Thanks to our fans for their continuing support."

The game's heroes are named Masaru and Hanako, two brave monkeys who must try to rescue their friend Kotetsu from the evil Dr. Crabbenwold and his army of weaponized household appliances. Players can equip up to four weapons simultaneously from an arsenal of 98 different guns, explosive devices, shields and more. Monkey Barrels also includes "Banana Scramble," a player-vs-player online mode for up to six participants.

The physical edition of Monkey Barrels for Nintendo Switch is available now at Nicalis Store for $39.99 MSRP.
