17th March in the year of our Lord 2021 -- Staffordshire, UK – Lightwood Games is delighted to announce the release of Crypto by POWGI for Xbox. The game will be available to download this Friday, 19th March.

Crypto by POWGI is a classic code-breaking puzzle, usually known as a cryptogram or substitution cipher.

In a cryptogram puzzle, every letter of the alphabet has been switched for a different letter to present a scrambled message. Using logic and reasoning, players can decipher the encoded text to reveal a funny or inspirational quote.

A good starting point is to look for apostrophes in the text, as they are frequently followed by a letter ’S’. Single-letter words are ‘A’ or ‘I’, and double letters in words often provide useful information.

The game contains more than 200 cryptograms to solve, including 30 brand new puzzles exclusive to the Xbox version!

It is priced at $7.99 / GBP £6.69 / €7.99 and rated ESRB E / PEGI 3 and is compatible with Xbox One and Series X|S.

Lightwood Games is an independent game developer, owned and operated by husband-and-wife team, Katherine and Chris Newman. They are delighted to be bringing their portfolio of puzzle games to Xbox and more games will follow in the coming months. Upcoming new titles will also release on Xbox from the outset.
