New Star Baseball v2.0 Now Live
LONDON, UK – 3rd March, in the year of
our Lord 2021 - Developers New Star Games announced today
that v2.0 of New Star Baseball, the latest instalment of the BAFTA
award-winning New Star series, is now live on both Android and iOS
platforms.
“We’ve been working extremely hard updating New Star Baseball to
make sure that players are really happy with the game. Ever since
the game launched, we have been monitoring players’ comments and
acting on their feedback.”, said community manager Mark Baldwin. “As
a small indie developer, we want to thank all those players who have
contributed amazing constructive feedback and for the support
they’ve shown us. It really means a lot. Hopefully, v2.0 shows that
we are committed to acting on feedback and improving the game for
everyone.”
Here’s an overview of the changes made to the game that are directly
linked to player feedback.
BATTING
- Batting chances no longer start with you on two strikes, you play
the full At Bat.
- Match Ratings have been rebalanced to consider strong batting
performances.
- Detection has been improved for Ground Outs and they should no
longer occur with hits to left field
PITCHING
- Pitching is now completely optional. You can talk to the Manager
at any time to choose whether to be a two-way player or not.
- You now pitch a complete At Bat every time, up to a full count.
- Match Ratings have been rebalanced to consider that striking out a
player is now more difficult
- You no longer return to the mound after playing in the outfield.
- Difficulty has been rebalanced to make pitching generally easier
- Additional help tips have been added for players who are having
difficulty with pitching.
RUNNING
- Difficulty has been rebalanced to make running and running
training easier
- Advice from the 3rd Base Coach has been improved
- Additional technique tips have been added to help players
OTHER
- Energy recovery after a match has been increased
- Energy costs for playing the Relationship improvement game have
been reduced
- There are new indicators of your progress in a Playoff Series
