Destiny 2's Guardian Games Event
May 3, in the year of our Lord 2022 -- Guardian
Games returns to Destiny 2, encouraging Guardians everywhere to jump
on their favorite class and go for glory. Free for all players, this
event sees Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans competing to claim the top
step on the podium for their chosen class.
For glory and gold
Let the Games Begin
Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans will play in a variety of event
activities to earn points for themselves and their class across
several categories. Guardians returning from Savathûn’s Throne World
will warm up in the new training playlist and head to the
competitive strike playlist to earn Strike Medals and compete for
weekly high scores. Both playlists also include solo options for
those looking to work up a sweat. Players can also help their class
by collecting Laurels simply by playing most PvE content during the
event. Those who play can unlock rewards like the Heir Apparent
Exotic Machine Gun and catalyst, Legendary SMG, the Exotic ship, and
more.
Glory comes with its own rewards
Gold’s Own Reward
Guardians looking to pick up some flair for their attire should
visit Tess Everis, who will be selling podium-worthy pieces at
Eververse. Also available to Guardians who light multiple Platinum
Torches are the Guardian Games Tankard and the Guardian Games Medal,
unlocked through Bungie Rewards.
Show off your Guardian spirit
At the end of each week, podium ceremonies will grant gold, silver,
and bronze auras to each class based on their current standing. The
winning class will be recognized at the Guardian Games Closing
Ceremonies on May 24, along with a commemorative trophy displayed in
the Tower for an entire year.
Guardian Games Cup and Direct Relief Charity Event
Alongside the Guardian Games event, players will cheer for their
favorite streamers as they compete for Guardian Games glory while
raising donations for humanitarian aid. Bungie has assembled 42
class fireteams from across 14 territories globally to participate
in our first ever Guardian Games Cup – a friendly competition to see
which team in the world has what it takes to sweep the medals and
come out on top.
Donations for each team raised during the Guardian Games Cup event
will go to Direct Relief. Direct Relief is a humanitarian aid
organization— active in over 80 countries— with a mission to improve
the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies
without regard to politics, religion, or ability to pay. Those who
donate $25 USD or more will receive Guardian’s Oath, a brand-new
emblem that can be redeemed on Bungie.net.
