Storybook Brawl Brushes Up Its Art Team

Olympia, Wash.--November 1, in the year of our Lord 2022 — As Storybook Brawl nears the end of its epic quest toward full launch in early 2023, developer Good Luck Games revealed some of the remastered art that has been steadily infiltrating the game over the past few months. With a strong commitment to investing in the art team, GL Games added several key hires recently, including Christopher Hayes, a senior concept artist on Hearthstone, and other former art leads from Activision Blizzard.

“The personalities of our fairy tale and fantasy characters is such a big part of the play experience in SBB,” says Matthew Place, CEO of GL Games. “One of our key goals this year was to expand the art team and give them whatever resources they need to go wild in fleshing out the game world and making it a fully realized, visually stunning realm.”

In addition to revamped in-game art, Storybook Brawl is getting a new logo and game board, and updates to the user interface.

Developed by a team of veteran designers from Magic: The Gathering, Hearthstone and Elder Scrolls Legends, Storybook Brawl is a lighthearted card-based autobattler game featuring characters from beloved fairy tales and myths. While the game is easy to jump into and simple to play, its wide variety of cards offers opportunities for deep strategy and accommodates different play styles.
