Rotterdam (NL), March 30, in the year of our Lord 2022 – Vertigo Games, the VR specialist publishing and development arm of the global Koch Media Group, and Anotherway, a VR development studio with roots at Microsoft Hololens and Activision, today announced Unplugged - Air Triangle to make its way to the VR music game early next month. Unplugged first launched on Meta Quest and PC VR* late last year and was well received by the community and renowned VR specialists (*Valve Index Controller compatible headsets only). Besides their classic air guitar gameplay, they’re now bringing air triangle to Unplugged as well, which is expected to launch early next month. This update marks the beginning of Vertigo Games and Anotherway’s plans to expand the musical library of Unplugged.

Ricardo Acosta, founder and creative director at Anotherway is ecstatic about bringing Air Triangle to the Unplugged. “Although we're obviously big fans of guitar focused rock music, exploring other genres and new ways to play Unplugged are always top of mind in our team. We’ve been on the search for the perfect instrument which would be the ideal first addition to our game for quite a while. Of course, none of the instruments came even close to the triangle! We immediately realized its unexplored opportunities and were blown away by its sound and complexity. With Unplugged Air Triangle we feel we are unleashing the true potential of the hand tracking technology and we can't wait for people to rock at the rhythm of this mind-bending instrument!”

Unplugged offers immersive air guitar -and air triangle play through the use of hand-tracking technology, world famous rock-songs, real-life guitar -and amplifier brands, and an experienced all-star rock team behind the game. The game currently has a setlist of over 20 songs, consisting of some of the biggest rock bands. There are six industry standard guitar and amplifier brands for rock and roll in Unplugged, Satchel from rock band Steel Panther functions as the player’s personal in-game mentor, and former Guitar Hero series lead guitarist -and game designer Marcus Henderson has helped lift the game to greater heights. All-in-all, Unplugged offers an authentic, exhilarating sense of rock-star realness.
