-- Frabjous Studios will launch a free preview of their
first title, BANKWAVE: Neon Networth, during Steam NextFest, October
9th - 16th. BANKWAVE is a narrative virtual escape room set in a
dystopian, cyberpunk world where retrowave meets real life. The game
features pixel art graphics, a branching narrative, an immersive
paperwork simulation, and a jazzy, retrowave soundtrack.
The free preview will showcase the first five days of gameplay,
where players will be introduced to BANKWAVE's quirky characters and
immersive world. Players can find the preview on Steam for PC and
Mac.
BANKWAVE: Neon Networth is a narrative document simulator with
escape-room elements set in a dystopian, cyberpunk world. The player
is a cloned VatBorn™ teller, forced to work as a customer service
representative at a megacorp headquartered in the heart of an
infinite multiverse. In BANKWAVE, the player deals with wave upon
wave of customers. Some customers are just trying to finish their
transactions, while others are part of a branching narrative. Choose
carefully, and the friends you make could help you escape the
clutches of your tyrannical boss.
BANKWAVE: Neon Networth explores themes of class, social status,
agency, sentience, and others commonly found in political satire and
dystopian fiction alike. Immersive, retro-futuristic elements are
featured throughout the game’s visuals and audio.
BANKWAVE originated as an entry to Ludum Dare, the longest running
game jam on the planet. The jam entry ranked in the top 3% for music
and top 5% for art. BANKWAVE is Frabjous Studios' first title.
