Parasol Stars The Story of Bubble Bobble III Console Release Date
Family Friendly Gaming News
Berlin, July 1st, in the year of our Lord 2024 - In
1991, TAITO released the third entry in its enduring Bubble Bobble
series: Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III. Originally
released for the PC Engine, the game followed the success of its
predecessors, building on everything the previous Bubble Bobble
classics laid down and continuing the story from where they left
off. It quickly became a fantastic hit, later being ported to Atari
ST, Amiga, Game Boy, and even NES, gaining huge popularity and its
own dedicated fandom.
Thirty-three years later, this iconic platformer is ready to land on
modern consoles and will have you (and your pal) armed to the teeth
with magical powers in the form of a cute and convenient parasol.
Use it to shield yourself from enemy attacks, stun foes, or unleash
a torrent of high-scoring stars! The game is also filled with
power-ups - such as ticking bombs and time-stopping clocks, and
quality-of-life options, such as save states (trust us, you’ll need
them) and the ability to rewind gameplay. Finally, you can expect
all manner of shaders and filters so that you can still emulate
CRTs, add scanlines, and much more. But don't get too comfy, or
Death will sneak up on you and swipe one of your precious lives!
Unleash the power of the parasol and show off your skills in this
epic adventure, available on July 11th.
