Aztecs The Last Sun Publishing Deal

Oberhaching, Germany, March 18, in the year of our Lord 2025 - Independent Polish development studio Play2Chill and German publisher Toplitz Productions jointly announce that they inked a publishing deal for the upcoming city builder Aztecs: The Last Sun.

Slated for a release on PC later this year, Aztecs: The Last Sun marks a return of the classic isometric city builder, but adding a modern twist. The player is tasked to become one of the great leaders of ancient civilizations by building and shaping the city state of Tenochtitlan, the pride of one of the defining mesoamerican societies.

Combining different aspects of city building and management, you are responsible not only for the wellbeing of the inhabitants, but establishing religious influence as well, in order to secure a lasting legacy for your people. Watch history come to life with beautifully detailed visuals, when you lay out building plans, invest in culture, and set up valuable production chains.

About the game:

The Aztecs: A Mesoamerican culture that flourished for three great centuries, dominating vast stretches of land in the area and creating a society unique in world history. It was a gifted and wise nation, rich in complex traditions and beliefs. Now, you will become an Aztec leader and do everything you can to make history remember your people.

Aztecs: The Last Sun is a city builder set between the 13th and 16th century CE. The player takes on the role of the ruler responsible for building and bringing to splendor the magnificent Tenochtitlan city-state. This amazing architectural wonder was historically located on an island in the middle of Lake Texcoco. This in itself will represent a technological and economic challenge for the player, who will have to provide food for his people and to maintain a permanent trade connection with the outside world.

The game perfectly combines three different aspects of city management. The player must take care of the economic, military and religious growth of the city-state. All features of the game have been prepared with great care to make the fun experience as faithful as possible from a historical perspective. Invest in culture and erect buildings, build a mighty army and make human sacrifices to the false gods. The false gods will surely repay you when hard times come.
