Family Friendly Gaming News
February 21st in the year of our Lord
2025, London, United Kingdom -- Today indie studio Exabyte
Games announced a new demo for their upcoming base-builder colony
sim set in the zombie apocalypse, Final Outpost: Definitive Edition.
This major update is debuting in the February Next Fest, starting
23rd February.
The update includes a new splash screen and animated main menu with
an original theme composed by Ben Randall. The OST also introduces
new cutscene music and four ambient tracks that play intermittently
in-game, creating a whole new atmosphere for players to experience.
Controller & keyboard glyphs and a shortcut for enabling infinite
assign mode in the job menu have been added to the game. There is
also a sneak peek at the modifier system where players will be able
to collect stamps for every new Outpost settled.
The demo showcases content exclusive to the Definitive Edition,
including a trading system, the first two difficulty modes, save
checkpoints, 7.5x speed-up control, leaderboards and a new scoring
system, UI and environment improvements, cloud saving, controller
support, widescreen support, and a new building: the Radio Tower.
Players can play the demo until the beginning of the first Winter.
But there's a twist: the new scoring system allows competition with
friends to build the best Outpost before time runs out!
