Overthrown Kingdom-Sized Update

Family Friendly Gaming News

Walnut Creek, Calif. (January 30, in the year of our Lord 2025) – Today, Maximum Entertainment released the first major update to chaotic co-op city builder Overthrown, available now in Steam Early Access. The Livestock Update will hit Overthrown on Xbox Game Preview tomorrow. Included in the update are the first farmable animals (Woolies!), new ways to destroy stuff with fire and mortars, new buildings and civilians, and a ton of extra improvements.

Overthrown is available now in Steam Early Access, in Xbox Game Preview, and available day one with Xbox Game Pass. The game will later release into 1.0 across Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5.

Play as Runa, a monarch in possession of an ancient soul-stealing crown with magical abilities. With its power, establish a kingdom in a perilous wilderness and defend it from mutants and bandits roaming the land. Build and manage alone or with friends in up to six-player co-op. Explore varied buildings like the butcher shop, ale house, and sawmill, watch the changing of seasons, farm your land, and harness the power of your magical crown!
