Dragon Quest V Hand of the Heavenly Bride
Role playing gamers fit into one of three categories. The Final Fantasy
fanboys, the Dragon Quest fanboys, and the rest. The RPG Master is
finally getting to Dragon Quest V Hand of the Heavenly Bride. This role
playing game was authentically reproduced and upgraded for the Nintendo
DS. Hopefully this will be the last Dragon Quest game this reviewer has
to play for some time. The religious indoctrination in this hand held
title is shocking. Every single time a player starts or stops a game it
professes its belief in a goddess. Multiple characters also talk about
this odd ideology as if it is common place.
The graphics look decent on the Nintendo DS, however expect some ugly
looking monsters. Who can decide they want to join up with you. They
will obey your commands and help you defeat additional monsters. Since
Dragon Quest V Hand of the Heavenly Bride is in the old school vein of
role playing games, players can expect to grind. Don't know what
grinding is? It is the behavior of fighting monsters over and over again
to attain a level high enough to defeat the next boss. Dragon Quest V
Hand of the Heavenly Bride is horrible about the grinding.
One area of Dragon Quest V Hand of the Heavenly Bride that is cool is
marriage. Players get to choose a wife, and eventually have a family.
This is one of the really neat aspects of Dragon Quest V Hand of the
Heavenly Bride, and one of the ways it sets itself apart. Expect a full
review in an upcoming issue of Family Friendly Gaming. For now just
steer clear of Dragon Quest V Hand of the Heavenly Bride. The
brainwashing in this DS game of the goddess belief set is
dangerous.
