Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.
Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. is an interesting
mixture of video game styles. It is a third person action adventure
shooter that is turn based. Characters in Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. have so
much steam that allows them to move and shoot. The limitations of this
on the demo are apparent. Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. plays a lot slower than
one would expect it to. The cel shaded graphics fit the comic book theme
in Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. on the 3DS. In fact all of the talking and cut
scenes are copied directly from the comic book realm. I find it
interesting that Nintendo is so fast to sue anyone when they feel their
copyright has been violated, yet they copy and clone things all the time
without paying for it.
Intelligent Systems has created something different in Code Name:
S.T.E.A.M. on the Nintendo 3DS. The mixtures of styles feels like a good
blend. The full game of Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. will be released on March
13, 2015 in a physical format at retailers so families can support their
local economies. I was able to download a demo Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. on
the 3DS after reading the story in our amazing Updated News section of
Family Friendly Gaming. Nintendo lets families try the game for thirty
tries before shutting them down. It does not take many attempts to get
through the demo.
The cool thing about the demo of Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.is it gives a good
flavor for this hand held video game. I can see two major camps in Code
Name: S.T.E.A.M. on the Nintendo 3DS. There are those that will
immediately embrace this game and bow down and worship it. There are
others who are not going to like Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. for a variety of
different reasons. I am in the middle. Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.is okay but
not great. This hand held video game is not my personal cup of tea.
