God's Not Dead 2
I am thankful that Peter and I were
treated to an early screening of God's Not Dead 2 at a local theater. We
had an absolute blast watching God's Not Dead 2. It can be difficult to
put it into words. I will try though. There was an Anchorman 2 moment in
God's Not Dead 2. When the main character in Anchorman 2 sees his new
boss he obsesses over one color. We found ourselves obsessing over the
color blue when we watched God's Not Dead 2. It was in reference to the
lip stick on a certain character in the movie. Whenever we saw her, we
had the urge to whisper: "blue." Or maybe it was not exactly a whisper.
No one around us complained, not even the handicapped gentleman. Certain
characters from the first movie make an appearance in the second one.
Sadie Robertson from Ducky Dynasty has a small part in God's Not Dead 2.
Peter thought they should put me in the movie. Not sure what role I
could or would play. Yeah I won't hold my breath on an invitation to act
any time soon.
The plot of God's Not Dead 2 is very predictable. Christian rights being
trampled by the tolerant of diversity. Yes it is the same tolerant of
diversity we have exposed and mocked here at Family Friendly Gaming for
over a decade. Those that claim to celebrate diversity are the most
intolerant of diversity. There are plenty of feel good moments, and
awesome quotes in God's Not Dead 2. My favorite is something along the
lines of: "the teacher is silent while the test is going on." Which is a
great answer to why we can't always hear God when times are tough.
Numerous well known actors are found in God's Not Dead 2. There are also
numerous defenders of the faith in this movie. They make their points
very eloquently and intelligently.
We were provided a bag with marketing and advertising materials. From
new books to the Salvation Army. Some people call this swag, but to me
it is marketing and advertising materials. There was also a
representative trying to solicit movie ticket sales of five hundred
tickets at a pop. The writing of this preview is valued much greater
than the cost of a free movie ticket. All of the advertising, and
attempts to make a sale have gotten worse in recent years for movie
screeners. I feel like they are trying to create a slave work force to
generate money for themselves. Don't get me wrong, I hope God's Not Dead
2 does well at the box office, DVD, and Blu-ray sales. I wonder about
James 5:4, and if it is being obeyed.
