Tales of Arise
I have played the Tales video games for
some time now. I am very thankful I had the money to purchase Tales of
Arise on the PS5. No clue what was going on with the PR and Marketing
for this game. They remind me of ostriches that stick their heads in the
sand whenever we communicate with them. Bandai Namco Entertainment
claimed
Tales of Arise would deal with more mature issues and themes. Death
is pretty constant in Tales of Arise. I was pretty worried it would join
the macabre and morbid rating. Thankfully Tales of Arise stayed in the
thirteen and older crowd. Expect a full review of Tales of Arise in
issue #179 of Family Friendly Gaming.
Enemies are seen so you know what you will battle and when once you run
into them. We then transition into a battle screen where the special
skills are generally the only thing that work well. The normal attack in
Tales of Arise is about worthless. There are also more super powered
attacks that can be used when they charge up. Two characters can work
together and launch a powerful skill attack on the enemies (usually when
their health is really low). Collecting items will allow you to improve
your weapons into something more powerful. Armor is found and bought.
Accessories can be crafted. The developer for Tales of Arise is Bandai
Namco Games. The publisher for Tales of Arise is Bandai Namco
Entertainment. Tales of Arise can be found on the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One
and Xbox Series X.
